DEAFESG rating: detailed rules and a growth chart

Share:

We have described in detail how the DEAFESG rating works. The rules themselves have not changed: they are now collected in one place and explained in plain language — how to start, how to earn points, what the ranks mean and why points sometimes do not change. Together with the text there is a clear growth chart for the ranks.

How to start

  1. Register. You need a nickname, an email and a password; a confirmation code will be sent to your email.
  2. Pass verification. Confirm your email and send a short sign-language video — a manager will review it. Until your profile is confirmed, games, teams and tournament applications stay closed.
  3. Upload a profile photo. It must be a real photo of your face: once it is approved, tournament applications open up.
  4. Link a game account in “My games”. At that moment your rating appears: 500 points and the rank “Rookie I”.
  5. Build a team. In team games create a team or join an existing one — the roster must be full. In solo games you do not need a team.
  6. Apply to a tournament and play. Pick tournaments marked “Rating: Counts” — only they change your points.

How points are counted

  • Points change only after matches of rated tournaments — once a manager has confirmed the result. Friendly matches, Hub rooms and tournaments without the “Rating: Counts” mark do not change points.
  • A win adds points, a loss takes away the same amount. A draw does not change points.
  • Opponent strength matters: beating a stronger opponent gives many points, and losing to them costs little. Against a weaker one it is the other way round.
  • The score matters too: the more convincing the win, the more points.
  • Your rating never drops below 100 points.

Examples: against equal opponents (500 and 500) a 16:14 win gives +9 points, 16:2 — +14, and 2:0 — +16. If the underdog (500) beats the favorite (700) 16:8, they get +16, while the favorite gets only +5 for the same win.

Personal play and Battle Royale

In CS2, if your FACEIT account is linked and a FACEIT room is attached to the match, your point change is multiplied by a personal factor from 0.5 to 1.5: good play brings more points for a win and takes away fewer for a loss.

In “Battle Royale” tournaments (Fortnite) points are given for kills and for the final placement in a match — the amounts are set by the tournament organizer. Points are never taken away for a match.

Ranks and the growth chart

There are eight ranks in total, and the first six have three divisions each (from I to III). The higher the rank, the wider it is in points — climbing takes longer and longer.

  • Rookie — from 500 points
  • Amateur — from 590
  • Fighter — from 710
  • Pro — from 860
  • Expert — from 1040
  • Master — from 1250
  • Elite — from 1490
  • Legend — from 1790, but only for the best 50 players of the site

All thresholds are shown on the growth chart: every column is one rank with its own badge. On a phone the chart turns into convenient horizontal bars.
