Big DEAFESG update: messenger, channel, photos and tournament chats

Share:

We have released a big DEAFESG update. The main thing: you can now chat on the site — private messages, team chats, the official DEAFESG channel and a captains' chat in tournaments. Here is everything new in short, site versions 2.10–2.14.

Messenger

A "Messages" section has appeared in the menu. You can write to:

  • your friends;
  • your teammates — every team has its own shared chat;
  • players who take part with you in the same unfinished tournament.

You can send a request — one message — to a player you do not know. They decide whether to accept the conversation or decline. New messages appear by themselves, without reloading the page, and unread ones are shown on the badge in the site header and in the menu.

If someone bothers you, you can add them to the blacklist or report a message. Organizers see only the reported message and a few before it — they do not read the rest of the conversation. Message text is stored encrypted.

DEAFESG channel

The official DEAFESG channel is now always first in the messages list. All players are subscribed to it automatically, and the number of subscribers is shown in the channel header. Only the administration can write in the channel, so important news does not get lost. When organizers publish important news with a notification, it also appears in the channel right away. If channel notifications bother you, switch them off with the "Mute" button.

Photos in messages

You can send photos to friends and to the team chat, and the administration posts them in the channel. There are three ways to add a photo:

  • with the picture button — choose a file or a photo from your phone gallery;
  • by pasting — copy a photo or a screenshot and press Ctrl+V;
  • by dragging — drop a file right into the conversation window.

JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 8 MB are accepted. The site shrinks the photo itself and removes hidden data from it, including the place where it was taken. Click a photo in the conversation to open it full screen.

Captains' chat in tournaments

As soon as a captain has applied to a tournament, a "Chat" tab appears on the tournament page. Captains of the teams that applied talk there — to agree on a time or clarify details. Ordinary team players do not see the chat, and organizers can watch it. When the tournament finishes, the conversation is deleted.

Team rosters on the applications page

On the "Applications" page of any team tournament, click a team — a small window opens with its roster: who is the captain, who plays in the main roster, who is a substitute or coach, and what in-game role each person has.

And more

  • DEAFESG APP. You can install the site as an app on a computer, Android and iPhone — read how to do it.
  • "Guide". A page with answers to frequent questions has appeared, in Russian and English.
  • Site version. The version is now shown at the bottom of the pages, for example v2.14.0, so you can see at once whether the site has updated for you.

Write to support if something does not work or if you have ideas about what is missing. Thank you for playing together with DEAFESG!
